A make-ahead Korean chicken and rice porridge (dakjuk) prepped as frozen meal-kit containers — just drop into a pot when ready to eat.

- 2. Blend rice porridge base3m1 cup cooked rice · 2 cup chicken bone broth
- 3. Pack containers5m1 tbsp sesame oil · 1 tsp sesame seeds · 1 salt and pepper · 0.5 tbsp soy sauce
Storage
Seal both containers and place in the fridge overnight or freeze until solid. Keeps frozen for several weeks.
When ready to eat
When ready to enjoy, take one container out of the freezer and microwave for 15 seconds to loosen the kit. In a pot over high heat, add 1/2 cup water and drop in the frozen porridge kit. Stir constantly as it melts and comes together, then lower to medium-low heat and simmer until heated through, stirring to prevent sticking or burning. Season with salt and pepper to taste, top with soy sauce and sesame seeds, and serve.
